Happy to see Sara releasing something new and it is off to a good start charting before the official release date. The vocal delivery is spot on and Sara sounds as great as ever. The song itself is more on the pop side of the spectrum, but sounds like it will easily fit into what is being played on the radio these days. Sara has always been hit or miss with her single releases, but the early signs point to this being a hit.

This one is on the cusp of top 40, but it's kinda struggling. I'm a little surprised, too, because Sara is a well-known artist and there are so few females on the radio right now. Carrie is in between albums, Miranda's album is winding down, and Kacey's FYA has yet to catch on. I guess Cassadee Pope is doing quite well, and Danielle Bradbery is off to a promising start, but I'm a little surprised that radio hasn't embraced "Slow Me Down" more, simply because it's Sara and because country radio doesn't seem to have a full quota of female country singers (and that quota is already at a low level).
