I kinda like this and much better than some of the bigger hits on the radio now. I am not expecting it to do much, but would be happy to see it go Top 40.

Curb/Sidewalk has done horrible when it comes to breaking in their new artists (and getting some of their older artists hits as well). LeAnn Rimes and Steve Holy can't get any hits, Andy Gibson's summer single "Best Thing" didn't chart, Rachel Holder and Morgan Frazier have failed to chart (and Morgan especially has had some good material), and neither Tim Dugger nor Dylan Scott has been able to crack the big charts either. The only newer act that they've been able to chart with is Sweetwater Rain, but their song stalled out at #51 after about a dozen weeks. Ashley Gearing has had a small handful of singles make the top 60, but none recently. And most of the other Curb artists are inactive (and who knows whether that's by the artist's choice or the label's).
But with that said, this one is actually off to a good start. Kristy O was half of Bomshel, and Jon Stone has written a lot of stuff for guys like Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann. It seems to me that they had a very well-received radio tour and that is definitely key for the new artists. So, despite Curb's inability to do much with their artists, this one looks to have a fighting chance. It's up 3 spots to #53 on Billboard after just 3 weeks and has gotten a total of 50 adds since impact date, so I'd say so far, so good. I really like this one too. Their voices go great together, and the harmonies are superb. I also love the rootsy, folk-y feel that this one has. It's nice to hear a song where the voices and gorgeous instrumentation take front and center stage, rather than a bunch of loud electric guitars and unnecessary overbearing production. This one has more of a stripped-down feel and I think we could use more songs like this at country radio.
