I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I am pleasantly surprised by this song. I think I was afraid she would venture too far into the pop field. I really like this more with each listen and I can see it doing well for her.

I really like this more with each listen and I can see it doing well for her. I like this a lot too--very different but to me that's a good thing. However, I can't help but wonder--will radio play this into high rotation? It's Jennifer, so basically Sugarland, but their last album as a duo (The Incredible Machine) was mostly overlooked by radio. I feel like this song might just be too far outside the 'narrow lane' when it comes to what radio is looking for. I'm sure it will get to the top 30 pretty quickly and probably top 20, but I could see radio cooling on it after that, and I also think it might prove polarizing. I personally have found Sugarland to be very hit or miss and while I do think Jennifer is a great vocalist, sometimes I feel like she tries to do too much with her voice. Some of my least favorite songs are "All I Want To Do" and "Stuck Like Glue", although they turned into big hits so I'm sure I'm in the minority there. Anyway, I'm not sure if I see this being a huge hit, but she's a recognizable voice and name, so that should get this up the chart fairly quickly at first and then we'll see where it goes from there. I also think she has some enunciation issues on this, and at times it's hard to hear the lyrics as well because the song/vocals get a little quiet in places. But overall, this is still a pretty good song to me. I'm just not sure how radio will take to it. |

Not sure what to make of the video yet. Will have to view it again before I comment. As for the song it seems to be struggling already. I wasn't expecting it to fly up the charts, but I thought it would do better than it is doing.

I'm kind of surprised that this song got a good number of adds this week. I really like the song, but the call out scores for this are not very good. I'm still not expecting this too be a huge hit anymore, but with more stations spinning it maybe it can climb at least into the Top 30 over time.
