Hmmmm. That's my initial reaction to this album.
Track #1 I like, but my first impression based on all the vocal-tuning (auto-tune?) is this should really be a song on the -OWL CITY album.
Track #2 probably the only song that will make/track on radio
Track #7 - a bit of throwback, and I liked it
-
I've listened to this straight off CD, and from my CD rip --- I had to after my first pass on my ipod, I thought maybe something was wrong. Nope, this album comes off as way too processed. There are at least 4 songs I think would possibly chart, if they featured Tracy's natural voice.
Is it just me, or anyone else have similar feelings?

"Stop, Drop, And Roll" was the first single pushed to secondary country radio, and now the current single there is "Footprints On The Moon", which I really like. It does not sound processed or auto-tuned to me...it is really catchy but I think Tracy sounds normal and just as good as ever on that one. But radio isn't likely to play the songs no matter how catchy or quality they are...Tracy is on his own small label now and radio pretty much passed him up within the last few years. He hasn't cracked the Billboard top 60 since 2009.
I haven't listened to the rest of the album, but I haven't heard any complaints regarding 'over-processing'. Most of the comments I've read have said that the album sounds fairly traditional with a 90's feel (and that's definitely my favorite 'era' of country music, so perhaps I will have to check this album out).

I would agree, Tracy on his own label is great for him, but terrible for mainstream radio exposure. I wish him luck, and I do like the album but just didn't think it sounded like Tracy.
I will make the effort to switch to my headphones tomorrow -- and then compare this CD to his previous ones that I own; and come back with a re-review.
Regardless, I do like the album -- at least 5 of the songs I would rate very good.

I must have had an off day during last week's road trip, because after re-listening in my office and truck I didn't hear the same "autotune" acoustics. I still think there is some vocal tuning on some tracks, but nothing like my first impressions.
My top picks:
1. Foot Prints On The Moon 2. Stop Drop And Roll 7. Cecil’s Palace 10. Saving Savannah
Currently track #10 "Saving Savannah" is my favorite on the album.
