I can't say I am a fan of Taylor, although I have liked a few of her songs over the years. This one seems to be slowing up, but should hit the Top 10 this week. Knowing her record label they will begin to push this and breathe some extra weeks of life into it, but I don't see this one hitting number 1.

This is actually one of my favorite Taylor singles, but I agree that it's unlikely to hit #1, even if Big Machine does some ridiculous huge push for it. This song has hit the 20-week mark now, and that's about the limit for Taylor singles. She's performing it on the CMA's, though, so it should hang around for another week, maybe a couple more, but I don't think it's gonna get much higher and even top 5 seems like a stretch.
"Red" only gained 269k on Billboard last week, and it actually held at #11 as Parmalee jumped ahead and Jason Aldean decided to stick in the top 10 for one more week. But Taylor is at least 12 million away from the top 5 and more than 20 million away from #1, so unless this is going to get pushed into high rotation all across the board, it's unlikely to move up much more.

This should finally enter the Top 10 this week after hanging out at #11 for a couple of weeks. I'm still thinking it won't go #1, but her record label has done some big pushes in the past. I think the competition ahead and behind her is too great.

Yeah, this has definitely had a good week so it'll move up to #9 or even #8. I also don't think it will go #1, but I guess you never know. My thinking is based off the fact that this has already spent 20 weeks on the chart, which is basically the ceiling for a Taylor Swift single. But I wonder just how long Big Machine plans to push this? They have her booked to co-host Lon Helton's countdown show on December 1, but I have a hard time imagining "Red" hanging around that long. Taylor's singles have shown to have a very high burn rate, much higher than the average that we see for other country radio stars. I think this will miss the top 3, despite the label's wishes/intentions.
