What a comeback for Joe! I'm definitely not surprised, though, as this one is right up radio's alley. Sometimes I don't like it when artists cater to radio, but in this case, Joe turned out a pretty cool song, and he really needed the hit anyway. The album is out in a week and it's currently up for streaming on Spotify. I haven't heard all of it, but so far I'm getting a Randy Houser How Country Feels vibe (and it's not surprising since Derek George produced both albums, and both artists are on the BBR Music Group)...about half the project is really contemporary and sounds made for radio, but on the other half, Joe is sticking much closer to his traditional roots.
This song should have a good shot at hitting #1 sometime in January or February, I think. If not, it'll definitely be a top 10 and probably a top 5.

I love the sound of Joe's voice. It's a shame that he is not recognized any more than he is. Such a sultry delivery, very much like Randy Travis.

Well, at least this has been a big comeback hit for him. It should hit the top 10 soon and I think this one will eventually go all the way to #1 sometime in early 2014. It's really selling well too and I'm not surprised it's become a big hit--this is the type of uptempo summery song that radio is all over (even though it's not summer anymore lol) these days. The album's pre-sales seem to be doing pretty good, too, based off its position on the iTunes album chart, and it's been getting some good early press.

I agree with your prediction of Joe hitting number 1 with this song. Things are setting up nicely for him to take over after Keith & Miranda. Of course its still a little early to know for sure and the charts have a way of making some interesting turns at the last minute, but all in all things are looking good for now.

Joe is posting a big increase over Keith and Miranda on Mediabase today. I wonder if his label is trying to surge ahead of the Keith and Miranda duet? I am hoping both can get some time at the top of the Billboard chart instead of one of them just making it to the Mediabase top spot. Could be an interesting week ahead to see who takes over after Blake.
