Brasswind horns, goodness... well I have to credit him for at least being inventive. I truly loved his first album, though his second effort might not be to my own tastes if "Shinin' On Me" is a good indicator of the sound of the album. I'll still definitely give this one a listen though. (Nice new forum btw. )

Thanks for posting that. I've been waiting for a musician of this quality to succeed at country radio -- the best musicians I know in country music don't get airplay on country radio (Alison Krauss, Darrell Scott) and probably Jerrod will be seen as, horrors, a risk too great for radio to take.
But I can hope. Merle Haggard had #1 songs with horns in them. Maybe it can happen again.
