There has only been one country artist who had 5 Billboard #1 songs on one album. And that was Rodney Crowell. I won't write his autobiography here, but Rodney was a great songwriter as well as a singer, and he sang and played with Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris in the 70s, and was married to Rosanne Cash for many years.
His 5 #1 songs were on the 1988 album Diamonds & Dirt:
It's Such A Small World (duet with Rosanne Cash) I Couldn't Leave You If I Tried She's Crazy For Leaving After All This Time Above And Beyond
Zac Brown Band has had 4 #1 songs so far from their current album, and their 5th release is at #3 on the Billboard chart. We'll see... nobody else has matched this record.
Brad Paisley had 5 #1's after he re-released 5th Gear to include Waitin' On A Woman, but the album as originally released only scored 4 #1's. I'm not counting that. Once you count re-released music, there are tons of Greatest Hits albums that had 5 #1's. I think the record only counts if your original album produces 5 #1 songs.
June 2012 looks like the time Rodney will have to share his mark, but we'll see if ZBB can keep gaining on the chart.
